AdventHealth Moves to Legacy to Sponsor Erik Jones, Jimmie Johnson

AdventHealth has shifted to Legacy Motor Club for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, LMC announced Dec. 5.

It will sponsor the team’s Cup entries in nine races in 2024, split between full-time driver Erik Jones and part-timer and co-owner Jimmie Johnson.

Johnson’s races in the No. 84 with AdventHealth sponsorship are Texas Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway.

Jones’ first race with the sponsorship is in the Daytona 500.

“This is a great partnership for me on the professional and personal level,” Jones said in a team release. “Healthcare is one of my key pillars in the Erik Jones Foundation and when I met with the leadership of AdventHealth our values aligned instantly. I hope we can forge a great path together in this new relationship and do many things to positively impact the community both around the tracks and across the U.S.”

“This is a wonderful day for Legacy M.C.,” Johnson added. “AdventHealth believes health should be measured in terms of the whole person — body, mind and spirit. This partnership is a natural fit for our Club and I know we will do great things together. I can’t wait for this season to get started.”

In 2023, AdventHealth was a sponsor of Trackhouse Racing’s Cup program, representing Ross Chastain‘s No. 1 in six events.

Jones scored one top five and seven top 10s with Legacy in 2023, while Johnson, in his first year as the team’s co-owner, made three starts. It’s not yet known if Johnson will add to his current three-race schedule for 2024.

What a coup jj lmao it’s out in the open now. I think jimmies name carries some weight.

wildcats2016

ugh, never been a fan of his, certainly having him as the driver won’t make me watch.

DoninAjax

His ego won’t keep him out of anything with four wheels no matter how bad the results are.

Echo

I agree. He has only been able to drive the type of car he won all the championships with. He’s really average in anything else. And I like him.

wildcats2016

agreed on the type of car plus he had Chad.

Echo

Agree, Chad is huge plus

I think folks are spot on about Chad’s influence. Chad made NASCAR look bad. He is obviously smarter than any of brass down in Daytona. He’ll, Chad pretty much showed NASCAR what a farce their playoffs actually are. He used NASCAR’s rules against them and made them look like fools. NASCAR allowed it to happen because they couldn’t walk back their stupid playoffs.

JJ is the Rodney Dangerfield of the sport. He doesn’t get any respect because none is warranted.
