Greg Van Alst Released From Hospital After Talladega Crash

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Greg Van Alst, injured during Saturday’s Love’s RV Stop 250 at Talladega Superspeedway, was released from UAB Hospital early Sunday morning (Oct. 1).

The announcement was made via Van Alst’s ‘X’ account, which also stated that he was diagnosed with a fractured vertebrae.

Van Alst was hospitalized following a multi-truck incident on lap 93 of Saturday afternoon’s event. He exited his truck under his own power.

Van Alst was one of two drivers transported to local hospitals on Saturday, as Stewart Friesen was also evaluated, treated and released at a local hospital.
