IMSA Pilot Challenge driver Mason Filippi will attempt his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Portland International Raceway for DGM Racing, DGM announced May 25.
OpenFender will sponsor the effort.
“There is nothing I love more than racing,” Filippi said in a team release. “I’m excited to bring my sponsorship platform, OpenFender, to a larger audience at my first-ever NASCAR Xfinity Series race. I’ve raced at Portland before and can’t wait to go back with a new challenge.”
Filippi has climbed through the ranks of IMSA, currently driving for Herta Autosport in the Michelin Pilot Challenge alongside fellow American Tyler Maxson, where he currently runs 11th in the points standings in the Touring Car division off the strength of three top-10 finishes at Daytona International Speedway, Laguna Seca and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
The No. 91 has primarily been driven by Mason Massey in 2022, with Preston Pardus also driving at Circuit of the Americas.
FOX Sports 1 will have TV coverage of the Pacific Office Automation 147 on Saturday, June 4, starting at 4:30 p.m. ET.
