Noah Gragson Returning to JR Motorsports in 2021

Noah Gragson will return to the driver’s seat of the No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2021, JR Motorsports announced Aug. 27.

The 22-year-old will reprise his role driving for the team for the third straight year.

Crew chief Dave Elenz and sponsor Bass Pro Shops will remain with Gragson and the No. 9 team. Elenz has been Gragson’s crew chief since he joined JR Motorsports for the 2019 Xfinity season.

Gragson has already clinched his playoff berth with his two wins this season. He won for the first time in his Xfinity career in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway and then won the Cheddar’s 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

In addition to his two wins this season, Gragson has 10 top fives and 15 top-10 finishes.

In his 57-race Xfinity career thus far, Gragson has two wins, 21 top fives and 40 top 10s. He finished eighth in the championship standings in his Xfinity rookie season in 2019.
