The ARCA Menards Series returns to the track for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic hit, with the field racing in the General Tire 200 this Saturday (June 20) at Talladega Superspeedway.
A total of 21 cars are currently on the entry list, meaning all will make the race, barring any entry list changes.
NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series driver Todd Gilliland is the defending winner but is not racing at the 2.66-mile superspeedway.
Venturini Motorsports’ Michael Self won the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway, and Chandler Smith took the second race of 2020 at Phoenix Raceway before the season was put on hold. Smith, like Gilliland, is not racing this weekend.
Dick Doheny is entered for his first race of the year. Doheny drove 16 races forĀ Andy Hillenburg’s team last year, and he’ll pilot the No. 01 at Talladega. Tommy Vigh Jr. and Ed Pompa will also drive their first races of 2020 with Hillenburg’s team.
Brandon Lynn will drive Chad Bryant’s No. 22 at the superspeedway. Lynn sat on pole last year, driving for Venturini, and looks to repeat that performance this weekend.
ARCA Talladega Entry List
The General Tire 200 will take the green flag shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20 on Fox Sports 1.
