Childers has served as Harvick’s crew chief at Stewart-Haas Racing since 2014. Before coming to SHR, he worked at Michael Waltrip Racing.
Childers confirmed the news after Stern’s report came out, a little while later.
Well, not sure how this got out. It’s been a while back and I have tried to keep that stuff private. But obviously I’m very happy to continue with the 4 team and @KevinHarvick .. I’m very fortunate to work with so many great people and have such a great group of guys. https://t.co/5Pcu8Jrsg9

Combined together, Childers and Harvick have won 25 races in their four seasons as well as one championship together, in 2015. They’re the longest-tenured driver/crew chief partnership within the four-car organization.

Fix your headline. Rodney Childers. Not Childress.
Ditto… First thing I noticed when I opened the FS homepage.
Don’t let the name in the tweet fool you. Don’t you know it’s really Rodney Childress.
