Alex Tagliani will wheel the No. 51 Toyota Tundra for Kyle Busch Motorsports at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Sunday, August 25), the team announced Monday, August 5.
Tagliani raced at the Bowmanville track four times in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series, and has one top five and two top-10 finishes. He’s also finished the races with an average of 12.5.
“It’s a real honor to represent KBM by driving the 51 truck — I really appreciate Kyle and the entire team’s trust in giving me the opportunity to try to win,” Tagliani said in KBM’s press release.
In addition to his truck experience, he has eight Xfinity Series starts, with all but one race at road courses. He earned four top fives and five top 10s in those eight events. His average finish throughout that stretch is 13.
The Canadian currently competes in NASCAR’s Pinty’s Series and has nine career wins.
The Chevrolet Silverado 250 is scheduled for Sunday, August 25 at 2:30 p.m. ET. Television coverage will be provided by Fox Sports 1.
