Ross Chastain will be behind the wheel of Premium Motorsports’ No. 27 machine for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway, with Xchange of America backing the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series car.
Chastain finished 26th in the team’s No. 15 last week at Chicagoland Speedway, and Daytona International Speedway will mark just the second Cup weekend he hasn’t been in that car.
Premium Motorsports’ No. 27 has 10 starts this year, with Reed Sorenson behind the wheel for nine of those and Casey Mears for one. Sorenson drove the car to a season-best 18th-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway inĀ April.
Chastain, running nearly full time in all three series this year, has two Gander Outdoors Truck Series wins to his name in 2019. The first came at Kansas Speedway, while the second came at Gateway after he had declared for points in the series
The 2019 Coke Zero Sugar 400 will get underway on Saturday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m. ET
