Brandonbilt Motorsports to Field Mason Diaz at Richmond

Brandonbilt Motorsports will field the team’s flagship No. 86 Chevrolet for 18-year-old Mason Diaz in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Richmond Raceway on April 12.

Diaz, who cut his teeth in the late model stocks ranks across the southeast, will carry sponsorship backing from Extreme Custom Collision and Solid Rock Carriers.

The Virginia native’s lone Xfinity start came at Richmond last fall driving for Mario Gosselin’s DGM Racing team, with support from Brandonbilt. Diaz qualified 22nd and finished 19th.

In addition, Diaz has tallied one NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series start. Driving for Brandonbilt, Diaz wheeled the No. 86 Chevrolet to a 23rd-place result at Martinsville Speedway in the fall of 2017, despite qualifying inside the top 10.
