Entry List: Overton’s 300

The NASCAR XFINITY Series returns to action at the Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday June, 30 after an off weekend this past week. 42 cars are on the preliminary entry list with several changes to note.

Jeb Burton will be in the No. 3 car for Richard Childress Racing for the first time since Dover back in May.  Burton has two starts this season with a pair of 12th-place finishes.

Austin Cindric will drive the No. 12 car for Team Penske after driving the No. 22 in the last race at the Iowa Speedway.

Several Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series stars will make an appearance in this weekend’s race including Daniel Suarez, Paul Menard, Kyle Larson, and Kevin Harvick.  Suarez, the 2016 XFINITY champion, will be in the No. 18 car for Joe Gibbs Racing and will make his 2nd start of the season after finishing 8th in the season opener at Daytona.  Menard will be in the No. 22 for Team Penske and will make his 3rd start of the season. Larson returns to the No. 42 for Chip Ganassi Racing for the first time since his win at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway back in March.  Harvick will drive the No. 98 for Biagi-DenBeste Racing for his 4th start of the 2018 season.

Chase Elliott will be back in the No. 23 car for GMS Racing for the first time since scoring a 2nd-place finish at Pocono.

Despite being unsure of whether the team would be able to travel to the racetrack this weekend, Kaz Grala is on this week’s preliminary entry list in the No. 61 car for Fury Race cars.  Grala has started every race this season, including the last 4 with this team.  He currently sits 16th in the points standings with one top five and three top-10 finishes.

Scott Heckert will be in the No. 78 car for B.J. McLeod Motorsports according to the preliminary entry list.  Heckert has not raced in the series since 2016.

Opening practice takes place on Friday, June 29, at 4:35 p.m. ET with coverage on NBCSN.  The green flag waves on Saturday, June 30, at approximately 3:46 p.m. ET with coverage on NBCSN.
