Race Weekend Central

Entry List: Virginia 529 College Savings 250

The NASCAR XFINITY Series returns to Richmond International Raceway this weekend for the second time in 2016, with the running of the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 marking the final race before the inaugural series Chase.

As of Tuesday (Sept. 6), there are 43 cars entered, meaning three cars will go home, barring any entry list updates.

Three drivers will attempt to make their XFINITY Series debuts on Saturday night. Brandon Hightower will be in the No. 13 car, Clint King will pilot the No. 15 and Truck Series regular Brandon Brown will be behind the wheel of the No. 86.

Kyle Busch returns to the No. 18 NOS Toyota this weekend. He has five career series wins at Richmond, including this race two years ago.

Alex Bowman will be back in the No. 88 for JR Motorsports. He has yet to finish outside of the top 10 in his five series starts this season and will look to extend this streak on Friday night.

Jeb Burton will be in the No. 98 for his final scheduled race in 2016 this weekend. He finished 12th in his first start for Biagi-DenBeste Racing at Indianapolis in July.

The XFINITY Series will have all of its activities on Friday this weekend, beginning with final practice at 8 a.m. (all times ET). Qualifying will take place at 4:15 p.m. followed by the race at 7:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Network.
