Richard Childress Racing announced today Kalahari Resorts & Conventions will sponsor Ryan Newman‘s No. 31 Chevrolet for this weekend’s Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 at Pocono Raceway.
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions recently opened an African-themed resort that features Pennsylvania’s largest indoor water park in the Pocono Mountains.
The company has two other resorts in addition to the Pocono Mountains location in Sandusky, Ohio and Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
Newman is currently 16th in the Sprint Cup Series standings, occupying the final spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. He has posted four top-10 finishes this season with his best result of seventh coming earlier this month at Kansas Speedway.
He has 28 career starts at Pocono and one win that came in August 2003. Since joining RCR in 2014, his best result of seventh came in June 2014.
