Brandon McReynolds, son of former Sprint Cup Series crew chief and current FOX broadcaster Larry McReynolds, announced Monday that he will drive for JGL Racing in the XFINITY Series at Talladega Superspeedway on April 30th.
This will be his second series start and first since 2010 when he competed at Gateway Motorsports Park for Eddie Smith in the No. 42 car and finished 19th.
He has run full-time in the K&N Series West for the past two seasons, picking up two victories. Both wins came in 2015 at Iowa Speedway in the K&N Series East and West combination races that feature competitors from both series.
The 24-year-old finished seventh in the standings last season and averaged a 9.9 finish.
He will pilot the No. 24 car for the organization in the Sparks Energy 300. Matt Tifft, Corey LaJoie, and T.J. Bell have all split time in the car this season, and Tifft will compete again this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.
