Two teams were warned following the Martinsville race weekend, including Sprint Cup Series winner Kyle Busch, for issues found during inspection.

Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18 team was warned for failing pre-race inspection twice. He failed the laser inspection portion of the process. Busch started seventh and led 352 laps en route to his victory, his first at the half-mile track. It is his first warning of the season.

On the Camping World Truck Series side, the No. 22 team of Austin Wayne Self was penalized for failing opening day inspection – the trailing arms on his race truck did not meet specifications. The warning was the second of the season for the No. 22 team.

The No. 22 truck failed to qualify for the race but Self ran the race in the No. 44 truck of Tommy Joe Martins. He finished 15th.
