NASCAR’s Las Vegas Ratings Decline Slightly

Overnight ratings fell slightly for Sunday’s Kobalt 400 on FOX from a year ago, coming in at a 4.1 compared to a 4.3 rating in 2015.

Sports Media Watch reports that the ratings are down 5 percent from the Las Vegas race a year ago, but even with the 2014 numbers.

Following a 16 percent ratings drop for the Daytona 500 and a 27 percent drop for Atlanta, the Las Vegas ratings are comparatively stable. However, for the second consecutive week, it’s the lowest rating for the event since FOX began coverage in 2001.

NASCAR comfortably topped the list of highest rated sporting events for the weekend, finishing ahead of the PGA Tour at Doral and the NBA’s Warriors vs. Lakers game, which both scored a 2.9 rating.
