Kyle Busch Leads Opening 2015 Drive for the Cure 300 Practice at Charlotte

Kyle Busch – surprise, surprise – was fastest in the first practice session at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Xfinity Series on Thursday afternoon.

Busch paced the field at 181.886 mph in his No. 54 for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Second fastest in the session was points leader Chris Buescher. Ty Dillon was third and Kasey Kahne was fourth, driving the No. 88 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports this weekend at CMS. Ryan Reed was fifth fastest.

Brad Keselowski, Austin Dillon, Brian Scott, Erik Jones and Regan Smith rounded out the top 10.

Other notables in the session included Darrell Wallace Jr. in 11th, Chase Elliott in 12th and Daniel Suarez in 18th.

In all, 39 drivers took time in the session.
