One driver needs a win to make the Chase. The other is already in. Both paced a practice on Friday. Who are they? Kyle Larson and Kevin Harvick.
Larson, last year’s Rookie of the Year, led the first of two Sprint Cup practices at Richmond International Raceway with a lap of 125.525 mph. He was followed by Casey Mears (125.412), Brad Keselowski (125.058), Harvick (124.815) and Kyle Busch (124.694).
AJ Allmendinger (124.619), Martin Truex Jr. (124.602), Carl Edwards (124.567), Ryan Newman (124.533) and Joey Logano (124.435) rounded out the top 10.
