NASCAR Issues Penalties to Jennifer Jo Cobb for Having Phone in Truck

Frontstretch’s Truck Series content is presented by American Trucks

Jennifer Jo Cobb has been hit with a P3 level infraction for having a non-engine electronic component inside her truck during the weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.

Cobb was spotted taking out her cellphone just after her crash in practice on Saturday. Cobb crashed during the practice session into a tire barrier that destroyed her truck, forcing her to go to a backup, forcing the No. 0 of Caleb Roark to withdraw.

NASCAR will fine Cobb $5,000 and an additional $2,500 because the infraction occurred while on probation. She has yet to file an appeal.

I can’t believe NASCAR took action on this. (I’m going to hide behind the anonymity of the internet for this.) I mean really, when is the last time you saw a woman driving WITHOUT a phone in her hand.! Rim shot!

The only time you hear about this woman is when she is fined! DUE THEY TAKE PITTY ON HER FOR BEING A LAPPED TRUCK!!!! This is a whole other kind of race team, complete with DRAMA.
