One of the top-grossing comedic actors of all time has been announced as the grand marshal of the July 19 New Hampshire 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Adam Sandler, who has starred in many movies over the years including Mr. Deeds, Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, will give the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers the command to start engines for the 41st race at the facility.
Sandler, who was raised in Manchester, N.H., is no foreigner to New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
“When I was a little kid in New Hampshire, I used to watch NASCAR with my dad and brother and we looooved it,” Sandler said in a press statement. “I know my dad would be baffled that I’m getting this honor and I’ll be thinking of him when I’m saying those words! Great to be home! Always!
