After an impressive fifth-place run in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega last weekend, Joey Gase takes his talents to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series where he will drive the No. 32 Go Green Racing Ford in this weekend’s SpongeBob SquarePants 400 at Kansas Speedway. The team had been searching for sponsorship to race in this weekend’s event, and on Thursday the team announced a sponsorship for this weekend’s race.
Tri-State Power will be the primary sponsor the No. 32 Ford this weekend at Kansas. The team will also have Construction Materials Inc., pci-ia.com and elicitherbalchew.com on the car as associate sponsors. Also, the bumper of the car will feature Hawkeye Downs Speedway, Gase’s hometown track.
The Cedar Rapids, Iowa native will attempt to make his sixth career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Kansas this weekend. In his previous five races, Gase has a best finish of 33rd, which came at Phoenix last November. Go Green Racing’s No. 32 Ford is currently 41st in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series owner points. Gase has one previous start in the 2015 season that came at Richmond, where he finished 43rd after an accident on lap 129.
