Kansas Speedway, Toyota Partner for Camping World Truck Series Race

Kansas Speedway announced on Tuesday that Toyota will serve as the race sponsor on May 8 for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. The event will be known as the 15th annual Toyota Tundra 250.

“I’m excited to partner with Toyota on our NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race,” said Kansas Speedway President Patrick Warren in a press release. “Toyota has been a great long-term partner of ours, and they have had tremendous success in the series. I look forward to working with them to bring fans another exciting truck series race at Kansas Speedway.”

Toyota has been successful at the 1.5-mile oval in the midwest. Over the last two years, Toyota has driven to victory lane in the last two events there, bringing its win total to four since coming into the series in 2004.

“We’re proud to sponsor the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway,” said Ed Laukes, Vice President marketing, performance and guest experience for Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A. in a release. “Toyota’s entry into NASCAR ‘s national levels started with the Truck Series back in 2004 and we’re thrilled with the success our Tundra drivers and teams have seen over the past 11 years. Our team members who build all of our production Tundras in San Antonio, Texas take great pride in the on-track accomplishments of the race Tundras and are looking forward to the Toyota Tundra 250 taking place at Kansas Speedway.”

Last season, SFP served as the race presenting sponsor.

Toyota has been a loyal manufacturer in NASCAR since coming into the sport in 2004. In 2007, Toyota made another big step by coming into the NASCAR Xfinity and Sprint Cup series. Today, Toyota continues to make waves in all three of the national series.
