NASCAR Writer Power Rankings: Top 15 After Bristol I

Frontstretch Power Rankings
Bristol is back! Bumping, banging, battle scars and post-race fights all made an appearance. Kasey Kahne did not let the disappointment of finishing second last week keep him down. He qualified second for the second week in a row, ran in the top 5 all day, led more than 100 laps and drove away from the field in the final 30 laps earning his first win of the 2013 season.
A number of drivers spent time near the top of the leaderboard. Kyle Busch led early but a speeding penalty on pit road saw him playing catch-up for most of the afternoon. Denny Hamlin was a contender until his on-track altercations with Joey Logano had him riding the wall the last five laps of the race from damage. Jeff Gordon and Matt Kenseth led a number of laps but were put behind the wall after Gordon blew a right front tire, taking both out while running first and second.
