Nationwide Series Practice: Busch, Harvick Lead the Way

Prior to Thursday night’s UNOH 225, the Nationwide Series held their first official practice session of the weekend at Kentucky Speedway ahead of tonight’s John R. Comcast And NASCAR In Talks For NNS Title Sponsorship Deal

As first reported by Tripp Mickle of the Sports Business Journal, NASCAR is in “advanced talks” with Comcast Xfinity for title sponsorship of what currently is the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The Nationwide Insurance title sponsorship ends after this season, as the brand has chosen to sponsor Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s No. 88 Sprint Cup car instead, as well as become an associate-level backer of the sport. Justin Marks To Drive For Turner Scott Motorsports In Two Races

Turner Scott Motorsports announced Monday that former Camping World Truck Series racer Justin Marks will drive their No. 31 Chevrolet in the road races at Road America and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.  As both races are standalone events, regular driver Dylan Kwasniewski will move over to the No. 42 in order to replace regular driver Kyle Larson, who will not make the trip.  Sponsorship will be provided by SOL Republic, a company that manufactures headphones, along with Casamigos Tequila.
