Snap-on Signs Contract Extension with Team Penske

On Wednesday morning, Team Penske announced that they have reached a multi-year contract extension with Snap-on that will continue their partnership.  As a result, Snap-on will serve as an associate sponsor of all Team Penske NASCAR and IndyCar entries.  Currently, that numbers six full-time cars (Nos. 2, 3 and 12 in the Verizon IndyCar Series, the Nos. 2 and 22 in the Sprint Cup Series and the No. 22 in the Nationwide Series).  In addition, Snap-on will continue to serve as a primary sponsor in what is now the Nationwide Series in selected races.

Team owner Roger Penske is very happy to continue his partnership with Snap-on.

“Team Penske has been proud to call Snap-on a trusted partner for over 33 years and we are happy to announce that we will continue to work together for years to come,” Penske stated in an official press release.  “Our teams know that they are using the very best with Snap-on tools and equipment and we appreciate all that their reliability, quality and partnership has meant to our success together over the years.”

Nick Pinchuk, Chairman and CEO of Snap-on Incorporated, echoes Penske’s sentiments.

“We’ve enjoyed a tremendous relationship with the Penske organization for more than 30 years, driven and strengthened by our shared beliefs in extraordinary customer service, solving critical problems and a respect for the unique challenges of vehicle performance,” Pinchuk said.  “Whether in the pits or in the service bay, we feel like we’re part of their team, and we have benefited from working with them over the years.  Our customers and franchisees like knowing that Snap-on is connected with a winning organization and we’re pleased to continue our partnership.”

The press release did not reference which races that Snap-on will sponsor in future seasons.  It also did not state how many years the contract will last.
