NTS Motorsports announced on Wednesday that Brennan Newberry, who currently competes full-time in the K&N Pro Series East and part-time in the Camping World Truck Series, will drive the No. 55 Chevrolet Camaro in Saturday’s Nationwide Series Sta-Green 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for Viva Motorsports/SS-Green Light Racing. Newberry, who will be locked into the race on owners’ points, will be making his Nationwide Series debut. Sponsorship will be provided by Qore-24, a brand of hand sanitizer that sponsors Newberry in both the Camping World Truck Series and the K&N Pro Series East.
Newberry is very excited about the opportunity to get his feet wet in the Nationwide Series.
“It is every race car drivers dream to keep moving up the NASCAR ladder as professionals,” Newberry said in a press release. “I’m definitely one of those drivers who gets to conquer another goal and dream. I am at a loss for words as to how excited I am about making my first Nationwide start this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. It was a big last minute offer but an offer that I am pleased to take. I must thank Jamie Dick and his entire team for giving me this chance. It is one that I will forever be grateful for.”
Newberry will not be alone in his Nationwide debut. Todd Bodine, who was originally entered in the No. 55, will also be on hand to provide assistance.
Newberry will be doing double duty in New Hampshire as the K&N Pro Series East is on the undercard this weekend as well. In addition to his Nationwide duties. Newberry will race his No. 24 Qore-24 Chevrolet for NTS Motorsports in the Granite State 100 on Friday.
