The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series completed one of two practice sessions Saturday morning and the non-Chasers stole the spotlight. Marcos Ambrose was the quickest with a time of 28.176 sec at 191.652 mph. The first NASCAR Nationwide Series practice session of the day was cancelled due to rain, so teams were only allowed one practice session. After weather forced some changes to the scheduled on-track activities on Friday at Kansas Speedway, the first practice session began right around noon. Danica Patrick will be trading in her familiar neon green paint scheme for a bright shade of pink on her No. 10 GoDaddy Chevrolet for the entire month of October to promote breast cancer awareness.
