Daniel Suarez To Make Truck Series Debut At Talladega

Earlier today it was announced that Daniel Suarez will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Talladega Superspeedway next weekend in the fred’s 250 powered by Coca-Cola. Suarez will pilot the No. 35 ARRIS Toyota for Win-Tron Racing, part of a collaborative effort with Joe Gibbs Racing. Burt Myers Wins Southern Slam 150, Andy Seuss Takes Whelen Southern Modified Tour Title

The Southern Slam 150 was the final race of the 2014 Whelen Southern Modified tour. The 15th and final race took place on the infield quarter mile at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Andy Seuss entered the race 17 points ahead of George Brunnhoelzl III so he only had to finish 12th to secure the championship. The Speedway Redevelopment Committee and A.J. Foyt Racing signed agreements on Thursday for purchase and renovation of a 45,000 square foot facility in Speedway, Ind. Kyle Busch paced a majority of the opening practice session for the Nationwide Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway. However, late in the one-hour session, Trevor Bayne put his No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford atop the practice chart with a speed of 180.856 mph (29.858 sec.).
