NASCAR Announces Changes For Soon-to-be XFINITY Series, Camping World Truck Series

On Wednesday, NASCAR announced a series of changes for the XFINITY and Camping World Truck Series that will take effect at the start of the 2015 season. The overall result will be that the two lower-tier series will resemble the Sprint Cup Series a little more in its operation. On Wednesday afternoon, Stewart-Haas Racing officially announced a substantial shake up for the final three races of the season. The crew chiefs and road crews for the No. 10 of Danica Patrick and the No. 41 of Kurt Busch will switch teams. This weekend, Martinsville Speedway has moved the drivers’ meeting before Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series race to pit road inside turn 4 to allow fans to get up close and personal. Early Tuesday morning, NASCAR announced there would be no penalties for Ryan Newman and the No. 31 team related to the car failing inspection following Sunday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Newman’s car was found too low on both sides in the rear end following his fifth-place finish and his fourth top 10 in the last ten races. Former NASCAR, NHRA Owner Raymond Beadle Dead at 70

On Monday morning, former NASCAR, NHRA Drag Racing and Sprint Car team owner Raymond Beadle passed away.  Beadle had suffered a heart attack in July and died of complications arising from the attack.  He was 70.
