Greg Ives to Serve as Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s Crew Chief in 2015

On Wednesday, Hendrick Motorsports announced that Greg Ives, currently the crew chief for Chase Elliott’s No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet in the Nationwide Series for JR Motorsports, will serve as crew chief of Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet in the Sprint Cup Series starting in 2015. Jayski is reporting Panasonic as a potential primary sponsorship for Jeff Gordon in the Spring Cup Series races at  Sonoma Raceway and/or New Hampshire Motor Speedway  in July. Former Sprint Cup Series Car Owner Junie Donlavey Passes Away

NBC affiliate WWBT (Richmond, VA) is reporting that former Sprint Cup Series car owner Wesley Christian Donlavey, better known as “Junie” Donlavey, passed away Monday night at the age of 90, according to family members.  Donlavey had been suffering from the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease in recent years.
