Rick Ware Racing Penalized Following Iowa Infraction

NASCAR has announced that Carl Long and the No. 23 of Rick Ware Racing have been penalized for a rules infraction that occurred during practice on August 1st at Iowa Speedway. Crew chief James Bell was fined $10,000 and placed on NASCAR probation until December 31st. TV Ratings Down for Sprint Cup Indianapolis Race, Up for Nationwide

The TV broadcast of Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway brought in a 3.4 U.S. Rating, averaging 5.196 million viewers. The viewership is down from the 2013 race, which boasted an average 5.46 million viewers. Indianapolis marked the biggest market with a rating of 15.0, which is up from 13.7 last year.
