Just as he did one year ago, Alex Tagliani will lead the field to the green flag for the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park after beating Erik Jones in the final round of qualifying.

Jones was on top of the leaderboard for much of the final 10-minute session, but on Tagliani’s final lap, a new track record time of 80.084 seconds (110.539 mph) gave him his second career Camping World Truck Series pole. Matt Crafton posted the third fastest time late in the final round, pushing back the second BKR driver, points leader Tyler Reddick to the fourth position on the grid for Sunday afternoon.

Cole Custer qualified fifth in the No. 00 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, with Ben Kennedy qualifying in sixth. Cameron Hayley will start seventh, followed by Gray Gaulding, Johnny Sauter and Timothy Peters in the top 10. Brandon Jones and John Hunter Nemechek were the final two drivers in the top dozen.

The first round of qualifying was red flagged for 30 minutes for an incident in turn 8. The No. 53 of Robert Mitten climbed the tire barrier, nearly standing his truck vertically on its nose. Without a backup car, the team was forced to end their weekend early.

The now 31-truck field will take the green flag for the 15th race of the season tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
