Off the Wall With: Ryan Newman

Welcome to Off the Wall With…, where we ask your favorite drivers five questions that are… well, off the wall! We’ll check in with a different driver each week to get a peek into life outside the racecar. This week, NASCAR veteran Ryan Newman gives it up.

What’s fun besides racing?

Ryan Newman: Being outdoors — anything outdoors.

What’s the top item on your bucket list?

Newman: I don’t know. I feel like you should just enjoy life — always enjoy life! You can go places, you can see things, you can see people, but you have to enjoy life.

Your go-to on movie night is:

Newman: Tombstone is a great movie go-to. I have to find somebody to watch it with, though.

What’s one item that’s always in your grocery bag?

Newman: Bread. Any kind of bread.

Most memorable fan interaction?

Newman: Any reaction from a kid. Some of the best questions come from kids. A kid who has enough courage to ask a question — I’m talking a 4-, 5-, 6-year-old kid, those are the best.
