Dover International Speedway, Autism Speaks & FedEx Announce Extension

Dover International Speedway and Autism Speaks announced a renewed partnership with Fedex. The Sprint Cup Series race on May 31, 2015 will be named as the “FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks.”

“We couldn’t be happier to have FedEx back on board as title sponsor for our spring NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event,” said Michael Tatoian, president and CEO of Dover International Speedway in a press release. “Their involvement helps elevate the weekend to the next level, and their support of Autism Speaks should not go unnoticed. They truly are engaged in this effort and an exemplary corporate citizen.”

With the announcement of the partnership, FedEx will continue their relationship with the track. The shipping company is also a primary sponsor with Denny Hamlin on his No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Autism Speaks, FedEx and the track will be working close together on numerous promotions and experiences during the race weekend. They will return the Autism Speaks Day at the Races during the weekend. The program will give families going through Autism a safe environment to watch the race. Those with the package will receive special pre-race appearances by numerous drivers and personalities, educational speakers, food and drinks and seating inside an air-conditioned environment.

This marks the ninth year of the partnership between the three parties. Autism Speaks is one of the most well-known research and awareness programs to help raise funds for the cause.
