Furniture Row Racing Announces 2015 Changes

This morning, Furniture Row Racing announced a partnership with Visser Precision, which joins the No. 78 team and driver Martin Truex, Jr. as an associate sponsor for 2015. The Denver-based company is owned by FRR owner Barney Visser and manufactures a variety of industrial products “from aerospace to luxury goods,” according to a FRR press release.

“This is an exciting move for not only our teammates at Visser Precision but also for our growing list of domestic and international clients,” President Ryan Coniam said. “Visser Precision with its advanced  technologies  shares many of the same attributes that you will find in the high-tech, competitive world of NASCAR. There is definitely some DNA between the two businesses and we are thrilled to be included with Furniture Row Racing.”

The team, celebrating its 10th anniversary in the Cup Series this year, also formally introduced Truex’s new crew chief, Cole Pearn, to the media this week. Pearn has worked closely with the team and former crew chief Todd Berrier for several years and was prepared for his new role over the last three seasons.

“It’s something I’ve been preparing for… in the last few years,” Pearn said Thursday during the annual Charlotte Motor Speedway Media Tour. “I’ve had it in mind that this day would come, and I tried to take steps beforehand to be prepared before came. Honestly, it’s just making the final transition. It’s different for sure, but I’m looking forward to it.”

LOL. Announcing that the team has gotten new sponsorship – by the guy who owns the team! Must be a tax break at the bottom of this cracker jack box.

Just when you think they couldn’t outdo themselves they do. LOL.

Chris

I agree Russ, that must have been one strange press conference!
